When the position was created in January 2006, the BRLC held 50 conservation easements, protecting just over 2,000 acres of farmland and open space. During her tenure, Drew oversaw a doubling of preserved land in Bucks County, including a neighborhood preservation project involving four property owners that secured easements on 70 acres of land in Bedminster.

Drew was also instrumental in the organization’s preparation for–and successful achievement of–national accreditation status in 2008, plus five-year renewal received just over a year ago. The BRLC’s growth and increased responsibilities led to an expansion in professional staffing several years ago to include additional assistance with the easement monitoring and stewardship program.

In expressing her appreciation to the BRLC board, Drew stated, “I have valued the role of the Board of Directors and appreciated collaborative work with the many dedicated board members over the past ten years, and know that the organization will continue to be successful in its endeavors.”

Drew also remarked that she felt privileged to have meaningful work with such an important mission and that the “position provided me with enjoyable rewarding relationships with easement landowners with whom I have worked on land stewardship matters in partnership with municipalities, notably Bedminster and Solebury townships.”

BRLC President Tony D’Orazio stated that the BRLC benefited from Drew’s many years of dedicated service. A search is underway for a professional with a similar breadth of experience to ensure continuation of the BRLC’s high standard of service to the community.
