The Pennsylvania Land Trust Association, in partnership with Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, seeks the development of technical guidance on land use planning tools that can help guide growth, protect resources and improve community design. If you have deep technical knowledge on one or more tools and strong writing skills, we would like to explore securing your services.

Of the tools already posted at ConservationTools.org, some contain dozens of pages of description, some just a few. Some have dozens of associated library items, some just a few. Some quote extensively from already published material to avoid reinventing the wheel while many contain wholly new material. The content of each tool will vary according to the nature of the tool, the quality of existing literature and the perspective of the author. Most of the tools will follow the structure that can be viewed at ConservationTools.org, but some land use planning topics may benefit by a different structure. (A few of the tools posted during development of the beta website could benefit substantially from greater elaboration.)
If you are interested in preparing guidance on one or more of the tools and topics listed above, please PALTA your qualifications. Please also state what tools you are interested in working on, provide any detail that you can regarding how you will approach preparing the guidance and the size and structure of the final product, and your compensation needs. This information should be sent to nfaraguna@conserveland.org. You may contact Nicole Faraguna at this email address or at 717-909-1298 with any questions.

If you have the technical know-how and strong writing skills,
we may want to secure your services.
