PALTA specifically wants to recognize Rep. Ross for his commitment to conservation and  leadership in achieving passage of Act 154 of 2006, which was instrumental in facilitating land trust and local government partnerships.

“On behalf of the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association and the land trust community,” PALTA President Phil Wallis stated, “we thank Chris for his commitment to conserving the lands and waters of Pennsylvania both legislatively and personally. He has demonstrated leadership in protecting our resources statewide and locally, helping townships to better navigate and support land use policy and conservation action.”

The award was presented to Rep. Ross on Friday, May 11 at the 5th Annual Land Conservation Conference in State College in the presence of land trust and conservation colleagues. PALTA President Phil Wallis presented the award.

On behalf of the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association and the land trust community, we thank Larry for his remarkable life of service to the environment and for being an exemplary contributor to land preservation efforts in Pennsylvania.
