American Electric Power (AEP) filed with PJM to construct 765 kv line  January 31, 2006.

Route
Putnam Co, WV to Frederick Co, MD to Middlesex Co. NJ.  This project appears to affect the following PA counties:

  • Berks
  • Carbon
  • Lebanon
  • Lehigh
  • Montgomery
  • Schuylkill
  • York

Additional Information
This line will run through the same area as the proposed NIETC of the same name.

On April 18, 2007, AEP and Allegheny Power announced a joint venture to build and own this line. The joint venture will operate as a transmission utility within the PJM region. The two companies will share responsibility for siting, right of way acquisition, and regulatory approvals; AEP will have lead responsitility for engineering, design and construction.
