New York State Regional Interconnect (NYRI) Corridor

Status
NYRI Inc. filed its request for corridor designation with DOE in March  2006.

Route
Situated in New York State, running from Oneida County  to Orange County.

Additional Information
A transmission line is already being proposed in this requested corridor.  See the description of the NYRI line for additional details.

American Rivers has declared the Upper Delaware one of its top ten most endangered rivers for 2007 due to the threat posed by the NYRI applications.

Appendix A of NYRI’s filing shows proposed corridor which, while situated in NY, visually impacts NE corner of PA and degrades 73 miles of lands adjoining Delaware River
