Proposed NIETC Corridors & Transmission Lines in PA

Requests
Three requests for a total of five NIETC corridors were submitted in 2006. An overview of each of the proposed National Interest Electric Transmission Corridors is available here:

• Allegheny Mountain Corridor
• Mid-Atlantic Corridor
• AEP 765 Corridor
• Trans-Allegheny Interstate Line (TrAIL) project Corridor
• New York Regional Interconnect (NYRI) Corridor

A number of specific transmission lines have also been proposed and applications submitted to the state regulatory commissions and/or to PJM Interconnect, the regional transmission operator (RTO) for the mid-Atlantic.
