Applications for the Schuylkill Highlands Mini Grants Program are due April 7, 2017. The program is a reimbursement grant program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and administered by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area and Natural Lands Trust.
Who Can Apply?
Grants will be made to municipalities, non-profits, watershed associations, and friends groups that have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and are registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Charitable Organizations. The intent of the grant program is to advance targeted project work within the Schuylkill Highlands area that supports the goals, focus, and vision of the Schuylkill Highlands Conservation Landscape.
Guidelines, Eligibility, and Application
Visit the Schuylkill Highlands website for the guidelines and application packet. Grant asks and awards for projects cannot exceed $15,000, and small projects are encouraged. Before applying, check the Schuylkill Highlands map to make sure your project is within the new Schuylkill Highlands geography. The geography has been expanded to include all of Berks County, an additional southern tier of municipalities in Chester County, and areas north to the Delaware River in Bucks County.
